I would
love to find out what all my friends favorite passage of scripture is!
I already
know some of yours, but not all unfortunately, time to change that!
I know for some it's
not possible to have a favorite.. :-P I fall into that category, one day it's this and the next it's that :)
So, if you just have
a special verse for today I'd love to hear it,
And also,
why, and what's different about it to you than other verses!
It's so
amazing how differently people can depict, or even discern passages and their meanings... So, if you would just jot down your special
verse and anything about it that stands out to you, or just simply the verse, that'll do as well, and send it in that'd
be awesome! My gratitude in advance! :)

Verse: Daniel 12:3 "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and they that
turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever."
Meaning: This has been my life verse for quite a while
now. It just encourages me to know that in the midst of all the empty lives around us that may seem to be fun or glamorous,
the person who is truly wise and who turns others to Jesus is the person who will truly shine and have the most fulfillment.
Don't try to shine for yourself, let Jesus shine through you.

Verse: Isaiah 42:6 I
the Lord have called thee in rightousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and will give thee as a covenant
of the people, for a light of the gentiles.
Meaning: This has been my life verse since I was about 15, way before
I had a meaningful walk with the Lord, before I knew what it is to <i>know<i> Him, I had this verse. And
often, as I'm choosing a direction, seeking what my next decision is to be, I go back to this verse and check: Is
what I want to do next going to be a light to the gentiles? If not, then I don't want to do it. It still amazes me how
this verse seems to clarify so much for me...and its been my verse for so long.

Verse:
Judges 5:31a So let all thing enemies perish, O Lord, but let them that love Him be as the sun when he goeth forth
in his might..
Meaning: This verse never really stood out to me before it was the theme of a card given to me by
a secret prayer partner at church. See, in the late spring/Early Summer our church started it's Secret Prayer Partner "season"
Each of the girls in the youth group were given a Secret partner who was a lady in the church, who would write to them and
send them gifts and special things ect, for a rather long amount of time and then there would be a revealing at the end of
the said amount of time.. Well, one of the first few cards that I recieved was a card that said "The stars in the sky have
no idea how bright they shine! You're alot like the stars." And the verse that inspired the insription for the card was Judges
5:31a (which in the TLB
version is "Those who love the Lord shine!") It made me realize that no matter how awful we may think we are, no matter how
many sins we've commited in the past and will commit in the future, and no matter how awful we may look somtimes *wink* if
you love the Lord it SHOWS! And the astounding truth of that verse has become more clear to me since I recieved that card,
you can tell by a persons countenance, whether or not they love the Lord! You may not be able to tell "how" much, but you
can tell. And it's become a focus in my life over these past few months to really, I guess you could say "exaggerate" the Lords
love in my life! I want to be a very open channel of that love, and I long for people to see it in my life and in my countenance
the way I do in the lives of so many others that I look upto and respect! So, that's why this particular verse
at this particular
time in my life
is so special
to me.
Verse: Phil. 4:13, and "Rejoice in the Lord always..." sorry, I had
to pick 2:)
Phil. 4:13 is just great because I can just think about it whenever I'm trying to
get something done. It just totally inspires me. The latter is especially helpful
when I'm at scool or working. It will just totally brighten my day, and I'll just
start humming and my mom just kinda drifts off to that.
Although, it is hard to pick a 'favorite' verse.
